What to do if things aren't working

I get stuck at some Japanese text when the game begins

  • Plug in the nunchuck.

I can't run the patch program

  • Make sure the proper files are on the root of your SD card.
  • Make sure you have the right patch version for your Wii.

The patch won't install

  • Try again.
  • Make sure your Wii is connected to the network.
  • Make sure your network has no firewalls, proxies, or other interferences.
  • Attempt the offline installation.

The program won't read my SD card

  • Try again.
  • Keep trying.
  • Shut down your Wii completely, by holding the power button until it turns red. Then try again.

The game doesn't have any English

  • Did you download the patch contents?

This patch bricked my Wii!

  • It is impossible for this patch to brick your Wii, even when misused, even during power outages, even if you replace the offline patch installation with images of Ronald McDonald.

None of these tips apply but it still isn't working!

  • Uninstall the patch if it is installed. A bad installation can cause crashes, slow downs, black screen freezes, and weird things missing from the game.
  • If it isn't installed, try it from the Homebrew Channel. It is slightly more stable from the HBC.
  • Double check everything is in the right place on your SD card. Very important! The patch should be about 800 mbs, so if you are signifiganly below that, you probably forgot some things! Even if it isn't, you may still have forgotten some things, so check twice!
